Travelers can now take a PCR test 96 hours prior to their scheduled arrival time to Oman for longer international flights.
Passengers coming into the Sultanate from long international flights (anything 8 hours or more is considered a long flight) will now be allowed to show a negative PCR result from a test taken 96 hours prior to their scheduled arrival time in Oman, instead of the previously required 72 hours. Those coming in on shorter flights, however will still be required to have it done 72 hours before.
The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) also announced that Omani citizens who receive positive PCR results, after recovering from the virus and completing the prescribed quarantine period, will still be allowed to travel.
