Drake Faces Backlash After Canceling Performance in Brazil on the Same Day, and Less than 24 hours after Partying
Lurking in the dark, on a whole ‘nother continent, appeared Drake and 50 cent living it up at a club in Miami the night before
Drake was set to headline Lollapalooza Brazil on Sunday, but ended up canceling the same morning. The festival released a statement announcing that Drizzy would not be showing up and would be replaced by Skillrex.
“Due to unforeseen circumstances, Drake is without members of his sound and production team, essential for the realization of the Lallapalooza show in Sao Paulo, Drake was excited to perform for his fans in Brazil. Unfortunately, this is out of his control. Sorry.”
Meanwhile, the night before, Drake and 50 cent were seen together at a club in miami, less than 24 hours before Drake’s performance was scheduled, and video evidence of it surfaced.
That didn’t sit well with the fans that are attending the festival. They were, understandably if we may add, outraged by the fact that Drake could party the night away but not show up to perform. One fan wrote:
“@Drake I’m dropping by to say that you are the worst artist in the whole world. Over 100,000 people have bought tickets to see your show today and you just cancel hours before because you’re hungover after a night out with 50 Cent. #Lollapalooza #Drake”
Well…. At Least the festival’s management refunded people who didn’t end up attending due to drake’s cancellation…. And also, at least Drake’s on the verge of going on his first tour in 5 years, the It’s all a Blur Tour.
