It has been confirmed that his Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said has been chosen as the new ruler of Oman.
The former Minister of Heritage and National Culture was sworn in before the ruling family council today, Saturday January 11/2020.
The inauguration ceremony took place at Al Bustan Palace before the funeral of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said.
His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tariq Al Said is the cousin of the late Sultan Qaboos Bin Said.
