HM the Sultan Declares January 11th as New Annual Holiday

The first one states that official holidays will be on fixed dates, for both the public and private sectors. The dates are:

• Hijri New Year on Muharram 1^st
• The Prophet’s (PBUH) Birthday on Rabee Al Awwal 12
• Al Isra’a Wal Miraj on Rajab 27
• Omani National Day on November 18^th and 19^th
• His Majesty’s Accession Day on January 11^th 
  

* If any of the days off coincide with the weekends, they it will be compensated by a single day. The dates of the holidays may also be changed, if it is deemed best for the public’s interest.


For the Eid holidays:

• Eid Al Fitr starts from the 29^th of Ramadan until the 3^rd day of Shawwal
• Eid Al Adha starts from the 9^th of Dhul-Hijjah until the 12^th of Dhul-Hijjah.

* If the first day of any of the Eid holidays coincide with a Friday, then that day will be compensated.

The second Royal Decree ratifies a cooperation agreement between Oman and Bahrain, that was signed in the security field, back in October 24^th, 2022.
