Less than 60 songs in history have achieved this milestone, and it's a song off Kanye West's Graduation album that did the job.
We knew the song is legendary as soon as the shutter shades he’s rocking in the music video sparked an international trend. The number of tracks that have been diamond certified just went up from 57 to 58 songs thanks to Kanye West’s Stronger. The reason that only a few songs in history have gained this certification is because you’d need to make 10 million sales of a single song to get there and it took Kanye 14 years to reach this milestone (yea its been that long, Stronger dropped back in 2009.)
Def Jam Records celebrated saying: “Kanye West’s ‘Stronger’ is now @RIAA certified DIAMOND! Congratulations to Yeezy and the entire team.”
