Listen: Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus Team Up For ‘Old Town Road’

7 April 2019

Rap meets Country, Lil Nas X meets Billy Ray Cyrus and we're ecstatic.

We know billy ray cyrus as Miley Cyrus’ father and the singer of ‘Achy Breaky Heart’ and we know Lil Nas X from the original version of the song ‘Old Town Road’.

Well the original song entered the Billboard Country Charts last month at number 19 and then it was removed from the charts for not being country enough. According to Billboard, the song ‘didn’t embrace enough country elements in its current version’. Lil Nas X recruited Billy Ray Cyrus to achieve the country sound that was missing from it

Billy Ray tweeted in support of Lil Nas X and the issue: ‘Been watching everything going on with on the road. When I got thrown off the charts Walon Jennings said: take this as a compliment means you’re dong something great. Only outlaws are outlawed welcome to the club.’
