Megan Thee Stallion, lil Nas X and NBA Players Assist Public Financially Amid COVID-19 Pandemic

Each one of these celebs had his/her own way of helping out financially.

Lil Nas X and Megan Thee Stallion have offered financial assistance to their fans as the coronavirus pandemic continues to affect people’s ability to work.

The pandemic has already hit many sectors and has already caused layoffs in the US.

Megan Thee Stallion and lil Nas X have responded by offering money to their fans who have been supportive of their careers. Lil Nas X tweeted: “hey guys drop ur cashapp, gonna send some of u some money to go get some food then stay inside.”

Megan Thee Stallion similarly tweeted: “Hey hotties since y’all have been going so hard supporting me I wanna support y’all and bless them pockets real quick !!! We’re apt to have a #SUGASPREE ! Drop y’all’s cash app names.”

One fan replied to Lil Nas X with the following tweet: “bruh you’re goat, I don’t get a paycheck for another week & even then I think my store is shutting down next week cos of rona,”

Another fan shared a screenshot showing a payment of $215 under Megan Thee Stallion’s post with the caption “And it just got better! Good lookin @theestallion !!!!!”

NBA players are also donating money to cover salaries of hourly workers since the season has been suspended. Giannis Antetokounmpo, Zion Williamson and Blake Griffin are just some of the players who have announced that they’re donating thousands of dollars to employees whom are missing out on pay.

“It’s bigger than basketball! And during this tough time I want to help the people that make my life, my family’s lives and my teammates lives easier. Me and my family pledge to donate $100,000 to the Fiserv Forum staff. We can get through this together!” tweeted Antetokounmpo, forward in Milwaukee Bucks.

Zion Williamson, who is a forward for the New Orleans Pelicans, posted on Instagram that he’s paying the salaries of Smoothie King Center employees for the next 30 days. “These are the folks who make our games possible, creating the perfect environment for our fans and everyone involved in the organization, this is a small way for me to express my support and appreciation for these wonderful people who have been so great to me and my teammates and hopefully we can all join together to relieve some of the stress and hardship caused by this national health crisis” he posted.
