Maggie Rogers is definitely an artist to watch out for
Maggie Rogers is a 24 year old singer who gained a lot of attention when she had a master class session with Pharell Williams where she showcased her original songs as a music student at New York University. The song ‘Alaska’ blew Pharell away and he was visibly impressed by the Maggie’s whimsical and mature sound.
The rest is history, ‘Alaska’ now has 11 million views on Youtube, and she released her EP ‘Now that the Light is Fading’ on February 17th, 2017. She’s since released singles like ‘Fallingwater’, ‘Light On’ and ‘Give A Little’ which will be on her debut album.
On November 3rd, Maggie Rogers was the musical guest on Saturday Night Live, where she opted to try out her new material like ‘Fallingwater’ and ‘Light On’.
Maggie Rogers’ sound is intricate and so well thought out without sounding calculated or manufactured. Maggie’s vocals and music are like a calm sea.
