This statement comes after a motorist complained of a high number of fines.
The ROP issued a statement, confirming that there is a unified system that gathers all the fines in the GCC, and it added that if drivers feel that a fine is incorrect, they can dispute it either at the ROP traffic department, or in the GCC country where the fine had been registered.
Police in Oman also confirmed that Oman is in the trial phase of using smart radars on the roads, which also catch violations like changing lanes and using mobile phones.
