Minister of Health says tighter COVID-19 restrictions are expected due to the rise in numbers.
Stricter COVID-19 restrictions may be underway as the number of patients in intensive care units continue to rise, said Minister of Health, Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammad Al Saeedi.
He attributed the increase in numbers to people’s failure to comply with precautionary measures, among other reasons.
Speaking at the official launch of a vaccination campaign in Musandam Governorate on Sunday, the minister said that the Supreme Committee has enforced more stringent precautionary measures during the past two meetings and might continue to do so if the epidemiological situation continues to decline.
