That viral moment came from a relaxed, fun conversation recorded during Khabib’s visit to Oman, with our morning show host Ali, which was organised by the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism and Experience Oman.
During his stay, Khabib explored Muscat properly, with visits to Al Alam Palace, the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, Rozna Restaurant, Al Mirani Fort, and the Royal Opera House Muscat.
And yes, the moment everyone keeps talking about.
The Chips Oman made a cameo in the clip and clearly stole some attention. Khabib was in Oman through official channels and anyone who knows Omani hospitality knows he was very well looked after. The chips were simply there for him to try during the interview. A fun, casual moment, not a ceremonial gift.
He did not try them on camera, but he did joke about the calories and said he would try them later. Very on brand.
