The Teaser Trailer for ‘The Lion King’ Remake Breaks Records

The teaser broke a record, and we are belting out the soundtrack already!

The trailer for Disney’s ‘The Lion King’ remake has scored record views after its release online, and now it’s become the most viewed Disney trailer debut ever!

The teaser trailer for the 3D-CGI live action remake has racked up 224 million global views in the first 24 hours of its release, and it’s second to the 2017 trailer for ‘Avengers: Infinity’ War which drew in 238 million views.

The remake of the 1994 classic starring Jeremy Irons, Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick opens on July 19th, 2019. The movie is starring, Donald Glover (aka Childish Gambino) as Simba, Beyonce as Nala, Seth Rogen as Pumba and of course James Earl Jones as Mufasa. He voiced the character in the original movie and we couldn’t think of anyone else who could play Mufasa! Jon Favreau is directing the film. Watch the trailer below!
