The second car burst into flames following the collision.
A truck driver was killed earlier this morning, after his vehicle deteriorated and collided with a car on the Al Amerat-Bawsher road.
The fire, rescue and ambulance teams issued a statement, saying that they are dealing with the incident, and police called on drivers to use alternative roads until this issue is dealt with.
