Free Trees for Everyone! Muscat Celebrates Omani Tree Day this Week and Wants You to Take One Home!

Take a plant today, breathe easier tomorrow, and give your home a permanent green upgrade.

Muscat Municipality is celebrating Omani Tree Day with a city-wide sapling giveaway to help green up the capital, boost environmental awareness, and get everyone planting.

The municipality says the goal is simple: more trees = cooler streets, cleaner air, and a prettier Muscat — all while encouraging people to take part in climate-friendly habits.

Where to Go for Your Free Saplings

📌 October 30 — 8am to 11am

  • Ghubra Beach, Bausher
  • Al Barkat Street, Seeb
  • Al Amerat Street, Amerat

📌 October 31 — Omani Tree Day

  • City Centre Seeb — 10am to 12pm
  • Al Khalili Majlis, Al Mouj Street — 4:30pm

Municipality officials say these spots were picked to get as many people involved as possible, making everyone a partner in building a healthier, greener Muscat.

So grab a sapling, plant a tree, and help make Muscat a cooler and more beautiful place — literally!
