Health Minister: Sur Hospital is Operating at Full Capacity and is being Supported by Royal Hospital
The statement came during the inauguration of the isolation ward at Sur Hospital today.
If we’ve all been very careful becaus of COVID-19 over the past few months, we’re going to need to be extra careful from now on because some of the hospitals in Oman have reached their full capacity.
His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Al-Saeedi, Minister of Health, said that the capacity of the intensive care units in Oman is close to full, and added that Sur Hospital has reached a stage where there are no longer any vacant intensive care beds. Not only that, a team from the Royal Hospital has been dispatched to Sur Hospital to support the staff who are working day and night.
His Excellency’s statement came during the inauguration of the isolation ward at Sur Hospital today. During the inauguration, His Excellency added that the project came with the support of the Oman LNG and consists of 12 rooms equipped with the latest technologies, and these rooms can be converted into intensive care rooms in case the need arises.
