'The White Album' is hailed as one of the best Beatles album ever (it's a close tie with Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band)
The Beatles released their self-titled album, or ‘The White Album’ in 1968. Their ninth studio album spent nine non-consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 between Dec. 28, 1968 and March 1, 1969. And now because of the albums 50th anniversary re-issue, the album has re-entered the top ten on the Billboard 200 Album Charts for the first time since 1969.
The White Album sits at number 6 behind Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper’s soundtrack for ‘The Star is Born’. Here are a few of our favorite songs from The White Album:
